Privacy
What we collect
Fatal Four stores the first name, last name, and email address you provide during sign-in, along with your bubble, title-game prediction, submission times, and contest results.
For authentication, security, rate limiting, and audit purposes, the service also processes session and magic-link records, request IP addresses, and commissioner actions. Raw magic-link tokens are not stored.
What becomes public
Before entries lock, other players cannot see your selections. After the deadline, your display name, bubble, bubble size, title-game prediction, and result may appear on the public leaderboard.
Your email address, request IP address, authentication records, and session information are never shown on the leaderboard.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate players, operate and score the contest, publish the post-lock leaderboard, prevent abuse, and preserve an administrative audit trail. Fatal Four does not sell personal information, serve targeted ads, or process payments.
Service providers and retention
Cloudflare provides hosting and database infrastructure, Resend delivers sign-in emails, and ESPN supplies the team directory and logos. Each provider processes limited information needed for its role.
Records are retained as needed to operate, score, and audit the contest. For a privacy or deletion request, contact the contest organizer who invited you. Requests that would compromise contest integrity or an audit record may be handled after the contest is complete.
